Required permissions
  • Access to the Tableau site and data (configured for self-hosting via SERVER, SITE_NAME, PAT_NAME, PAT_VALUE)

Risks and side effects
  • Leaked PAT credentials (PAT_NAME, PAT_VALUE) could allow unauthorized Tableau access, so they must be kept secure

  • The self-hosted option requires maintaining your own runtime and security updates
