Privacy Policy

The short version

• We do not ask you for any personal information, and there is no way to give us any.
• We do not sell, rent, or share data with advertisers. There are no ads and no advertising trackers.
• Google Analytics is the only third-party script on the site.
• Config text you validate is checked and discarded — it is never stored.

Who runs this site

followmcp.com is an independent, unofficial community directory of MCP servers. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by Anthropic or any vendor whose servers it catalogues.

The site is operated by an individual. For any privacy question, correction, or deletion request, write to [email protected].

Information you give us

There is no registration, no login, no newsletter, no comment form and no contact form. No field on this site asks for your name, email address, or any other personal detail.

The one thing you can submit is configuration text, on a server's configure page — covered in its own section below.

Analytics

The site loads Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-2KWQ96X95R). Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser and reports to Google information including your IP address, approximate location derived from it, device and browser type, the pages you view, and how you arrived. We use it only to see which pages get read and from where; we never attempt to identify an individual visitor from it, and we do not upload any data of our own into it.

Google processes that data as an independent controller under its own terms. You can prevent it entirely by blocking the googletagmanager.com domain, using any content blocker, or installing Google's official opt-out browser add-on.

The configuration validator

When you press Validate on a configure page, the text in the editor is sent to this site's server, parsed, checked and returned with the result rendered on the page. It is not written to any database, log or file — the request ends and the text is gone.

That still means the text leaves your machine. Replace credentials with placeholders before validating, and do not paste a real API key, token or password into the editor. If you already have, rotate it.

Cookies and local storage

This site sets no cookies of its own and stores nothing in your browser's local storage. The only cookies you may receive are Google Analytics', described above.

Server logs and hosting

The site is served through Cloudflare, which acts as a proxy and content delivery network. Cloudflare therefore sees your connection, including your IP address, and processes it under its own privacy policy.

Our origin server keeps standard web-server access logs of requested URLs, timestamps, status codes and user-agent strings. Request bodies are not logged, so validator submissions do not appear in them. Because traffic reaches the origin through Cloudflare and the origin is not configured to restore the original client address, the IP recorded in our own logs is Cloudflare's, not yours. These logs rotate on the server's normal schedule and are used only for debugging and for checking how search engines crawl the site.

Content about third parties

The directory describes publicly available repositories and links to their sources on GitHub. Names and descriptions shown on a profile come from the public repository, not from any private source. Following an outbound link takes you to a third-party site governed by its own policy.

If you maintain a repository listed here and want a profile corrected or removed, write to [email protected] and say which URL.

Children

The site is a technical reference aimed at software developers. It is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect anything from them.

Your rights

Because the site stores nothing that identifies you, we generally cannot locate “your” data in order to export or erase it — there is nothing tied to you to find. For the data Google Analytics holds, use Google's own controls and the opt-out add-on.

If you believe we nevertheless hold something about you, write to [email protected] and we will look into it.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the date at the top of this page changes with it. There is no mailing list to notify, so the date is the record.
